Holiday Retreat 2021

Dear friends,

We are very happy to inform all of our beloved friends that Thai Plum Village will open again to welcome you to join the Holiday Retreat – “The Power of Now” at Thai Plum Village, from December 27 to 31, 2021.

 

A. To join the retreat at Thai Plum Village, you must prepare the following documents:

  1. *Thailand Pass – The monastery only accepts the package “Exemption from Quarantine (Test & Go)” for those who have already had two doses of COVID-19 vaccination. You can register Thailand Pass at least 7 days before departure through the link: https://tp.consular.go.th/

  2. **Please kindly register by filling the online form through the link provided below. This link will open for registration at 3 PM (Bangkok time, GMT+7) December 6, 2021. This link will close automatically when the number of participants is full.

  3. *Full package health insurance: Including all health covers related to COVID-19 for at least 50,000 USD. (You can buy health insurance at http://covid19.tgia.org/)

  4. **Confirmation of a round-trip air ticket before December 17, 2021.

  1. *A certificate of two doses vaccination with full details of the vaccine (two doses) and the places of taking the vaccination. More details: here.

  2. *A negative result of the RT-PCR test for COVID-19 within 72 hours before departure. Please note that your test result must be the hard (not digital) copy or print-out and in the Thai or English language only. More details: here.

  3. *A confirmation of at least one night staying in the classified quarantine hotels (AQ or SHA+) while waiting for the RT-PCR test result upon arrival to Thailand.

  4. **After receiving a negative result of the RT-PCR test, we will pick you up at your hotel to go directly to the monastery by our transportation.

  5. **Due to the current regulation of the local health ministry in Pakchong, you are required to do the ATK screening test upon arrival and before leaving the monastery.

* 1,3,5,6,7 are required to travel to Thailand.
** 2,4,8,9 are required to join the retreat “The Power of Now” in Thai Plum Village.

B. Donation for the retreat:

  1. The monastery is non-profit, therefore sustained by donation. As you feel comfortable, you may like to make a contribution to food and accommodations and to support the monastery.

  2. If you would like to donate to support your stay, our daily expense per guest is about 500 Baht. But please feel free to donate as you like.

C. Information of transportation:

  1. The monastery will arrange transportation to pick you up at your AQ/SHA+ hotel, from December 20 to 26, 2021. After that, our transportation will take you directly to the monastery and only stop once for the toilet. Please kindly wear a mask for the whole trip.

  2. To prevent the spread of COVID-19, please do not leave your hotel while waiting and after receiving the negative result of the RT-PCT test, until our transportation arrives to pick you up from your AQ/SHA+ hotel in the afternoon on the same day of receiving the test result.

    Please kindly buy a Thai sim card and check your email regularly to stay in touch with the monastery after arriving at your hotel, as it is convenient for our transportation team to pick up guests. (Our email and phone number will be sent to you via email, after filling the registration form).

  3. We will suggest the list of AQ/SHA+ hotels in Bangkok for you as it is convenient for our transportation team to pick up guests. However, you can choose your AQ/SHA+ hotel which is not in the hotel list we provided to you. However, you might pay extra fees for transportation.

  4. The transportation fee is around 2,100 – 3,000 Baht/taxi. If you go with other guests, the fee will be shared among guests traveling with you.

  5. After the retreat, we will arrange transportation to take you to the BKK and DMK airport, which will leave the monastery at 10 AM on January 01, 2022. However, you can extend your stay in the monastery after January 01, 2022 to practice. We have transportation to take you to the airports every Friday at 8 AM.

D. Regulation while staying in the monastery to prevent the spread of COVID-19:

  1. Unless due to medical issues, please do not leave the monastery.

  2. You are encouraged to wear masks in public areas, self-hygiene regularly, as well as social distance while staying in the monastery.

  3. Please clean up your own space regularly according to the instruction of the monastery.

  4. Please bring your own medication (if needed).
