For the time being, the Monastery accepts up to 50 retreatants only for all nationalities. (Main language: English, with translation into selected languages)
This Retreat is exclusively offered to young people aged 18-35.
Please note: If the situation of Covid-19 becomes complicated and therefore activities like retreats must be canceled, the Monastery will not be allowed to receive and host guests. Please note that we will not be responsible for your flight ticket and hotel booking. We are sorry for this inconvenience. In the case of cancellation, an email of notice will be sent to you.

To enter Thailand and join the Wake Up Retreat at Thai Plum Village, you are suggested to prepare the following documents.
* Thailand Pass: The monastery only accepts the package Test and Go for those who have already had two doses of Covid-19 vaccination. You can register for Thailand Pass at least 7 days before departure through the link: https://tp.consular.go.th/. A flight booking is not required prior to registering for Thailand Pass.
* Hotel confirmation: A hotel confirmation for at least one night in the classified quarantine hotels (AQ or SHA Extra+) is required. Total fee to be settled can include: one night stay (minimum), one PCR test, one ATK test set, airport pick-up car to your hotel. Please note: Right after you receive your negative PCR test result at your hotel, you will need to travel to the Monastery immediately. For more information about hotels, please click here.
** Registration link for the Retreat: To register, please follow the link and fill in the form. The link will be closed automatically as the Retreat is fully booked. The two times of registration are:
3:00 P.M. March 29, 2022 (Bangkok time). After successfully registering on the link that follows, please email your paid flight ticket to us via visitus@thaiplumvillage.org by April 09 at the latest. If this is not done accordingly, your registration will be cancelled.
(You are suggested to settle your flight ticket after your application for a Thailand pass is approved, to avoid losing flight ticket expense. This means that you should book your hotel room and submit your Thailand pass before April 01, 2022, approximately seven days before settling your flight ticket.)
3:00 P.M. April 11, 2022 (Bangkok time). After successfully registering on the link that follows, please email your paid flight ticket to us via visitus@thaiplumvillage.org by April 20 at the latest. If this is not done accordingly, your registration will be cancelled.
(You are suggested to settle your flight ticket after your application for a Thailand pass is approved, to avoid losing your money. This means that you should book your hotel room and apply for a Thailand pass before April 13, 2022, approximately seven days before settling your flight ticket.)

Due to the situation of Covid-19, the Monastery can only receive a limited number of both female and male retreatants. Therefore, please use the correct link specified above according to your gender and nationality. Otherwise, your registration can be considered ineffective. Thank you for your understanding.
Necessary information includes your email address, date of birth, telephone number, Viber or Zalo number, passport number, and contact details of a friend or a relative in the case of an emergency (email address, telephone number …).
* Health insurance: A health insurance with minimum coverage of 20,000 USD for medical expenses related to Covid-19 is required. For more details about health insurance, please see “Other IMPORTANT notes” below.
* Vaccination certificate: A certificate of vaccination with full details of the two doses and the places of taking the vaccination. For more details, please click here.
** After you receive the negative RT-PCR result, the Monastery’s pick-up car will take you from your AQ/SHA Extra+ hotel directly to the Monastery. Please note: you are suggested to arrive in Thailand one day prior to visiting the Monastery. For example, if you register to visit the Monastery on April 28, 2022, your flight to Thailand must arrive on April 27, 2022.
* ATK self-test: To meet the requirements of the government, you will be required to take the Antigen self-test on Days 5-6 and then report the test result instructed by the Ministry of Public Health.

** 3 and 6: Requirements to visit Thai Plum Village
(If you are currently staying in Thailand and have already taken two doses of vaccination, please proceed to fill in the registration form listed in point 3 above. You can visit the Monastery by your own means of transportation. Upon arriving at the Monastery, you will be asked to take the Antigen test, prior to joining the Retreat. If the test result is positive, you are not eligible to join the Retreat and are suggested to leave the Monastery in your own means of transportation. Pick-up to the Monastery: The Monastery’s car will pick you up from your SHA Extra+/AQ hotel approximately after lunch time of either April 28 or April 29, 2022; then the car will go directly to the Monastery. Please wear a face mask for the whole trip; the car will stop once for toilets at a pre-planned public place.
To prevent the spread of Covid-19, please do not leave your SHA Extra+/AQ hotel after receiving your negative PCR test result. You are suggested to stay in your hotel until meeting our pick-up team in the same day.
Please buy a Thai sim card upon your arrival at Thailand’s airport and regularly check your email after you arrive at your hotel to stay connected with the Monastery and our pick-up team. (The Monastery’s email and direct contact number will be emailed to you as we receive your completed online registration form).
Our car will pick you up from your hotel.
The pick-up fee is around 500 Baht per person.
In case the Monastery needs to arrange a taxi pick-up, the fee is 2,100-2,800 Thai Baht/taxi. If you travel with other friends, the taxi fee will be shared.
Drop-off to the airport: On either May 05 or May 06, 2022, a drop-off car can be arranged to go to the airports BKK or DMK. Please note: in case you will fly back to your country after the Retreat, you will have to go through necessary steps before your flight, such as PCR test 72 hours or quick test Antigen 24 hours prior to boarding, or possible quarantine (if needed)…
Except for medical emergencies, please do not go out of the Monastery.
You are encouraged to wear a face mask, wash your hands, as well as practise social distancing.
Please clean your own space regularly according to the instructions of the Monastery.
If you are currently taking any medication, please make sure that you bring them with you.
Please note that, if the number of guests is too large, tents will be put up outside for you to sleep in.
The Monastery is a non-profit practice center. All activities are therefore donation-based only. We look forward to receiving your support during the time you stay in the Monastery. For the time being, the estimated expense including food and accommodation is 500 Thai Baht per person per day. However, the Monastery always welcomes any donation you make.
Your donation will support the Monastery to cover the monastics’ daily expenses like food, electricity, water, and health care. Donations can be made in Thai Baht, USD, VND, or Euro at our Registration office.
Please read carefully the information below to prepare for the best visit to Thailand.
Upon arriving in Thailand, if your PCR test taken at your AQ/SHA+ hotel in Bangkok is positive (This can happen even after you receive a negative PCR test result in in your country before boarding to Thailand, which is due to the fact that PCR positivity criteria based on cycle threshold, or CT, can vary across countries.) : the Thai government may ask you to take quarantine in a hotel or hospital, and the duration of quarantine and treatment is 10 days. The expected total expense including accommodation, food, medication, service fee, etc. can be more than 100,000 Thai Baht, to be covered by your insurance. Please note that how much and when your claims will be settled depend on the kind of insurance you bought. (Please consult with your insurance company about cases of infection found in your PCR test upon arriving in Thailand and a 10-day quarantine for treatment.)
Therefore, please always wear a mask to protect yourself before boarding for Thailand.
Please conduct a PCR test with a reliable provider in your country before entering Thailand.
Please select a reliable insurance company in Thailand to ease the coverage process of your expenses. Some popular insurance companies in Thailand are LUMA (1899 Baht per 30 days) or AXA (about 2408 Baht per 30 days)
Please notice: Thai Plum Village Practice Center is a non-profit organization without any support from any commercial establishments. The funding is provided solely by donations from those with kind hearts. Therefore, should you develop any health problems or personal issues (incl. the case of being infected by Covid 19) that requires treatment during your practice and staying in Thailand, I am aware that I will be fully responsible for any expenses incurred.
