Registration for joining the practice at the Monastery( Thaiplumvillage, 2022)

Dear friends,

Thai Plum Village brothers and sisters are happy to announce the upcoming plan of re-opening the Monastery to welcome guests for the practice of mindfulness.  Details are as follows:

Arrival and departure dates:

  • Arrival dates: You are suggested to arrive at the Monastery on one of the following four days: February 25, February 26, March 01, or March 02, 2022.

  • Departure dates: You are suggested to leave the Monastery on March 08 or March 09, 2022.

Important notes:

  • After March 09, 2022, there will be private activities for monastic brothers and sisters; therefore, guests are suggested to depart not later than March 09, 2022.  Thank you for your understanding.

  • If you are currently outside of Thailand (e.g. Việt Nam), you need to register for a hotel qualified for SHA Extra+/AQ and apply for Thailand Pass before February 19, 2022 in order to be eligible to arrive at the Monastery on March 02, 2022.  This is because you will need at least 13 days to complete the requirements before we pick you up for the Monastery, including (07 days waiting for approval for Thailand Pass) + (06 days staying within Thailand to wait for the second negative PCR check).

  • If the above arrival dates do not meet your plans, please stay in touch with us via our website (langmaithailan.org) and Facebook pages for more information about the coming months.  Thank you!

  2. To prevent the spread of COVID-19, please do not leave your SHA Extra+/AQ hotel since the second PCR test and wait for our pick-up car to come on the next day’s afternoon. Please buy a Thai sim card upon your arrival at Thailand’s airport and check your email regularly after you arrive at your hotel to stay connected with the Monastery, which also helps the pick-up team later.  (The Monastery’s email and direct contact number will be emailed to you as we receive your completed Online registration form, listed in point A.3 above).

  3. The pick-up fee is around 2,100-2,800 Thai Baht/taxi.  If you travel with other friends, the fee will be shared.

Drop-off to the airport: On two days March 08 and March 09, 2022, a drop-off car can be arranged to go to the airports BKK or DMK.  For friends travelling back to Viet Nam, please note that you will need to follow Viet Nam’s regulations before flying from Thailand to Viet Nam like taking a PCR test 72 hours before boarding and taking quarantine upon arriving in Viet Nam, etc.

C. The Monastery’s regulations to prevent the spread of Covid-19:

  1. Except medical emergencies, please do not go out of the Monastery.

  2. You are encouraged to wear a face mask, wash your hands, as well as practice social distancing while staying in the Monastery.

D. In case you would like to make a donation, …
